Hospice Cup Washed Out! See news page.
Hospice Cup - Our popular race is the centerpiece for this huge charity fundraiser (and party).
Hospice Cup -- America's largest charity regatta -- is a cooperative effort of Shearwater SC, the Storm Trysail Club, the committees of Hospice Cup, Inc. (HCI), and area hospices. A year of fund-raising by the hospices, and planning by HCI, is capped by donors being treated to a day on the Bay watching the exciting race and enjoying a great post-race awards party.
It's a race!
The race fleets are divided into two groups, with courses provided by Shearwater Sailing Club and The Storm Trysail Club.
In addition to the usual CBYRA sanctioned handicap and one-design classes, there is also an informal, non-spin race for those who would prefer a more laid-back style of sailboat competition. Called the Hospice class, entrees are due earlier. See the NOR link below for information. Email Shearwater if you have questions.
Information on race entry is available at the CBYRA web site or in the Greenbook. Links will be included here as they become available.

SSC Twilight Race - Extremely popular summer evening race.
Shearwater's Twilight Race brings out large numbers of boats big and small to enjoy the usually fine evening breezes of early summer. A course is set around government marks (lighted, of course, after dark) with finishing up the Severn River close to Annapolis just around twilight time if the wind gods permit!
